New General Manager of Bosch Ukraine 
New General Manager of Bosch Ukraine is Optimistic about Ukrainian Market 

Rene Schlegel has been appointed General Manager of Robert Bosch Corp. in Ukraine. He already served in this position until the end of 2002 and is reassuming his responsibilities in Ukraine additionally to his functions as general manager of Bosch Russia and Bosch Belarus.

He already served in this position until the end of 2002 and is reassuming his responsibilities in Ukraine additionally to his functions as general manager of Bosch Russia and Bosch Belarus. His Predecessor in Ukraine, Mr. Ludek Smida, left Bosch on August 1st.
 
Bosch Ukraine was established in 1993 and achieved last year with 115 employees a consolidated turnover of 54 million Euros. Bosch sells in Ukraine motor vehicle parts, power tools, diagnostic and garage equipment, heating equipment and security systems. Brands in Bosch Ukraine’s portfolio are Hawera, Dremel, Skil, Buderus, Junkers, Blaupunkt and of course Bosch.
 
‘Ukraine has been, is and will continue to be a clear growth market for us. In order to serve it adequately, we have a full-scale operation in Kiev dedicated to Ukraine and we plan to open offices in other cities within the next 6 to 8 months. Some corporate tasks for Ukraine, Belarus und Russia are headed out of Kiev, Minsk or Moscow for all three countries.
 
We believe that this organizational structure allows on one hand for major synergies and on the other hand for a very market specific approach to the benefit of our dealers and consumers here. Our performance targets for Ukraine are aspirational and we are optimistic to strengthen our market shares in all segments even further’-says Rene Schlegel.
 
Schlegel, originally from Lucerne, Switzerland, worked with Bosch in a variety of functions and countries since 1986. He graduated from the University of Chicago and lives with his family in Kiev and Moscow.
